Organizations that persist in maintaining rigid technological boundaries are finding themselves at a competitive disadvantage, struggling to adapt to the dynamic demands of the digital era. The traditional organizational structure, characterized by departmental isolation and fragmented technological ecosystems, is fundamentally incompatible with the interconnected nature of contemporary business environments. Siloed technology infusion creates significant barriers to communication, innovation, and operational efficiency. The infusion of technology is no longer about implementing isolated solutions but creating interconnected, adaptive technological ecosystems. Organizations must view technological integration as a strategic imperative, not merely a technical implementation. Leadership must champion a cultural transformation that embraces technological convergence, recognizing that the ability to integrate and leverage technology across organizational boundaries will be a defining competitive advantage in the digital age. The future belongs to organizations that can break down technological silos, foster collaborative technological environments, and create agile, interconnected systems that drive innovation and strategic growth.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Open Access Organization and Management Review https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oagmr/article/view/119 Content-Based Study on Ek Thi Mariam: Changing Gender Role Portrayal in Media 2024-11-12T07:49:24+00:00 Nabiha Hasan nabihahasan016@gmail.com Namood-e-Sahar namood.sahar@nip.edu.pk
Gender role development is very important among children during the phase of their personality development. This results in the formation of gender identity, which later determines the type of gender role exhibited by the child in later life. Home is the main platform from where the key features of personality for a child is shaped up. Similarly, variable gender roles are also being taught by the family members. The growing media and its impact also play significant role in this regard. The current research made an account of how the gender role portrayal is changing in media and its respective impact on gender role shift in the society. This objective was achieved by conducting a survey on the content portrayed in a Pakistani movie “Ek Thi Marium” (2016). The study followed quantitative descriptive research method. Purposive sampling technique was used based on the objective or purpose of the study. The sample comprised of 40 university students aging from 16-30 years old, such that mean age is 25.3 Findings suggest that the media today is displaying a changed gender role instead of gender stereotypical portrayal. The study was conducted with a limited sample, in future, however, studies could be expanded, and sample size could be increased to get a holistic picture. It could help future research to identify the modern trends and to study the effect of these variations among individuals of different age groups.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Open Access Organization and Management Review https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oagmr/article/view/108 The Dark Side of Success: Impostor Phenomenon as a Predictor of Self-Sabotaging Behavior and Workaholism 2024-10-07T05:21:00+00:00 Rabia Zahid khanzahidamir64@gmail.com Muhammad Fiaz fiaz@qurtuba.edu.pk Muhammad Taus taous@qurtuba.edu.pk
Imposter phenomenon (IP) is a specific type of behavioral health phenomenon and can be defined as individuals, most frequently high achieving, who are marked by an inability to internalize their accomplishments and attribute their successes to external factors either luck or misperceiving others' scrutiny of their work. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between the impostor phenomenon (IP), self-sabotage, and Workaholism among faculty working in HEIs. A survey design was employed, using data from 290 sample faculty drawn from two universities. A structured questionnaire was used. We investigated associations between perceptions of IP and maladaptive behaviors with both correlation and regression analyses. Results indicate a robust positive association between the impostor phenomenon and both self-sabotage tendencies and workaholic behavior, with IP being the significant predictor for all. We found that faculty members who felt like impostors procrastinated, over-prepared, and put in extra hours they did not need to log because they did not trust their competence. Through Control-Mastery Theory (CMT) and Social Comparison Theory, this research sheds light on the unconscious motives and social comparisons behind these behaviors. Results underscore the need for intervention at both the individual and institutional levels to support faculty well-being. It also offered implications for professionals and mental health practitioners.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Open Access Organization and Management Review https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oagmr/article/view/116 Challenges and Opportunities in Integrating E-health Solutions for Enhanced Healthcare Quality in Saudi Hospitals 2024-11-05T05:43:50+00:00 Dhuha Nasser Alharbi 411201879@qu.edu.sa Ghulam Muhammad Kundi g.muhammad@qu.edu.sa
Recently, the Saudi health sector has made significant strides, and some local hospitals have been recognized internationally. However, this progress has not been matched by the advancement of the e-health field, which has become an essential tool for hospitals to meet certain goals such as improving the quality of healthcare and decreasing the time, and cost of healthcare delivery. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and efficiency of e-health solutions in Saudi hospitals to enhance the resolution of interoperability issues; the use of strong data security measures, and the trust of patients in Saudi healthcare inter alia impact of the Integrating E-health solutions to enhance the healthcare quality in Saudi hospitals. For building the base, we used a review of the existing studies from Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, PubMed, and Science Direct. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire administered by the researchers from a small sample in the Qassim region healthcare institutions. The sample size was 197 following Krejice and Morgan’s criteria. The study identified a positive and significant association between all the variables therefore our hypotheses have been substantiated. Similarly, the study finds a significant impact of Integrated E-health solutions in enhancing the healthcare quality in Saudi hospitals as it reported that SHQ explained 31.7% variance on the enhancement of IHS in Saudi healthcare and Goodness of fit F= 387.312 also found significance at p< 0.000. Though the study was taken only Qassim region where the sample size was limited so results could be generalized however, future researchers are required to conduct similar studies with larger sample sizes including more regions to build a powerful theory for knowledge and practice.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Open Access Organization and Management Review https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oagmr/article/view/49 An assessment of the Impact of Training on the Employees’ Performance 2023-07-14T18:02:43+00:00 Muhammad Siffat shah syedsiffat@correo.ugr.es Jehanzeb Shah jahnzb@gmail.com
This research aims to investigate the influence of training on the employees’ job performance. Evidence from the Developing Countries 2023-07-04T14:57:57+00:00 Muhammad Asad Ullah asadmpa@gmail.com
T

To understand the relationship between self-efficacy and the commitment of academicians, research is gaining momentum among researchers across the globe to investigate various aspects of positive psychology, which studies human positive behavioral attributes for example, hope, optimism, self-esteem, and self-efficacy. Similarly, organizational commitment represents significant organizational behavior, which discusses the bond between employees and with organization by explaining the stabilities including beliefs and attitudes as well as the behavior that encompasses the behavioral adoptions and indicates a refusal of reasonable alternate options of achievement. Thus, studying the relationships between self-efficacy of the academicians with organizational commitment is an instrumental area of study that demands more study in the background of developing countries. The study will provide insight for academicians, researchers, and practitioners to understand the issue comprehensively and resolve it in the best trajectory to enhance their commitment which will lead to enhanced performance. The shortcoming of the study was not resolved due to time and financial constraints, hence it was conducted will a small sample size, future researchers could get a better view if a study with a large sample size is conducted.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Open Access Organization and Management Review https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oagmr/article/view/129 Adoption of Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and its Impact on Business Performance: Oil and Gas Perspective 2024-12-23T13:21:23+00:00 Qaiser Aman kamanallah@kau.edu.sa
The primary aim of the present study is to determine the use of AI's applications in accounting, its effect on business performance, and the adoption problems faced by the oil and gas industry.
