A cross-sectional survey on 153 male students using a quantitative research method, descriptive and quantitative approach was carried out. Data collection was done using a structured questionnaire that has been validated by expert reviews and pilot study (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.862). In accordance with what is found, the absence of a teacher has an impact on the course completion, continuity, and assessment of students. Statistical analysis proves a positive relationship between teachers’ attendance to classes and students’ academic performance as absenteeism helps hinder a student’s grasping of instructional methods. In addition, monitoring regularity, procedure of training programs and incentive-based motivation can help to reduce absenteeism. Thus, the study calls for policy interventions that can address teacher absenteeism in private institutions to promote educational quality and student outcomes.
Muhammad Umair, Muhammad Faizan Malik, Saiqa Siddiq Danish Copyright (c) 2025 OPEN ACCESS EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP REVIEW https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oaelr/article/view/146 Sun, 09 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Exploring the Impact of AI-Powered Social Network Sites on Academic Performance: The Mediating Role of Big Five Personality Traits https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oaelr/article/view/147
This study aims at exploring the impact of AI-powered social network sites on academic performance: The mediating role of big five personality traits. It utilized a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative techniques with quantitative analysis to investigate the relationship between Social Network Site usage and the personality traits of secondary school pupils. The study population included 8,617 10th grade students in District Attock, comprising 4,868 boys and 3,749 girls, enrolled in 248 public secondary schools. The study sample comprised 530 pupils from the population. The proportional sampling method was utilized for sampling. The sample size of each stratum is directly proportionate to the total population size of that stratum. This signifies that each sample inside every stratum is selected utilizing a consistent sampling percentage. Two unique self-created research instruments were utilized to achieve the study's objectives. Big Five Personality Traits Assessment (BFPTs) The Big Five Personality Tool consists of 39 measures that evaluate five specific traits: Agreeableness, Extraversion, Openness, Conscientiousness, and Neuroticism. Utilization of Social Networking Sites (SNSs) The Social Network Sites tool consists of twenty-nine unique elements related to five essential and commonly used Social Network Sites. The correlation analysis indicates a strong positive association between AI Usage and Academic Performance (AP), evidenced by a moderate positive correlation (r = .531, p = .000). This suggests that increased AI usage correlates with improved academic achievement, indicating a beneficial effect on learning outcomes. Therefore, it is advisable for educational institutions to include AI tools into the learning environment to improve academic achievement through tailored learning experiences and effective resource management.
Wajid Mahnaz, Sidra Kiran, Bisma Ameen Copyright (c) 2025 OPEN ACCESS EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP REVIEW https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oaelr/article/view/147 Wed, 09 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0000 An Analysis of the Impact of Human Capital on the Economic Growth of Pakistan https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oaelr/article/view/143
Pakistan is a country on its course to advancement but during this period of growth, it has faced some significant dilemmas. Therefore, a study has been conducted with the aim to examine the impact of the e of human capital formation, interest rate, exports and capital formation on the economic growth of Pakistan GDP has been taken as the dependent variable to measure growth. Data was collected from 1972 to 2013. ADF has been applied to check stationarity between the variables. ARDL econometric approach has been used for co-integration among variables’ is also applied for short run dynamics among the variables. The results finds that there is a positive and significant relationship between human capital and GDP. For increasing GDP, the government should reduce the economic misery index and increase human capital, capital formation, and exports in Pakistan. This study has several limitations. First, it is conducted in a developing nation context i.e., Pakistan, where it is required in the future to be conducted with same factor among different developing nations of the region.
Afshan Manzoor, Asyea Naseem, Shamaila Najabat Copyright (c) 2025 OPEN ACCESS EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP REVIEW https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oaelr/article/view/143 Sun, 13 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Impact of Teacher Motivational Strategies on student’s Self-confidence and Classroom Performance https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oaelr/article/view/148
In this study, the role of motivation and classroom management strategies of teachers to motivate students or used to be engaged in academic success in public and private elementary schools Mianwali have been explored. The study used a causal-comparative research method with quantitative approach analyzing the effectiveness of motivational strategy as well as reward system towards affecting student behavior, classroom discipline, learning outcomes. The findings reveal that teachers are key to students’ academic performance by using diverse motivational techniques which increase 96 % of students’ motivations with that of teacher interventions. Additionally, 100% of teachers claimed to use rewards to increase student engagement, the study also points out, but rewards work because they reinforce positive behavior. Nevertheless, strategic implementation of these rewards is essential to stop rewarding unwanted behaviors. This research reinforces the argument that institutional support, teacher training, and structured policies in general about classroom management and entire teaching efficiency are paramount. The study further suggests that a well-managed classroom environment coupled with teacher motivation strategies improves student participation, discipline and achievement. Based on the findings, recommendations for educational institutions and policymakers are provided, emphasizing professional development, teacher accountability, and structured reward mechanisms. The future researchers are required to use longitudinal design with larger sample size from different regions of the province for better understanding and generalizability of the results.
Muhammad Faizan Malik, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Umair Copyright (c) 2025 Open Access Education and Leadership Review https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://journal.mdpip.com/index.php/oaelr/article/view/148 Tue, 29 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0000
